Another happy Caridon Foundation client who attended the The MusicFootballFatherhood and Crystal Palace FC ‘Extra Time’ Event on Saturday 16th September at Selhurst Park Stadium.
“Attending the Fatherhood Conversation program, organized by MFF and Crystal Palace FC, was a profound experience. Initially unfamiliar with the project’s details, I joined with curiosity, and it turned out to be incredibly eye-opening. Witnessing numerous fathers come together to openly share their fatherhood experiences was inspiring.
The program created a safe space where we could discuss our fears and feelings about fatherhood freely. Engaging in various activities, one particularly impactful task involved mapping out our “team” on a football pitch—a support network for when life throws its challenges at us. This exercise made many of us realize the scarcity of dependable resources in our lives.
The project encouraged us to address our mental health and facilitated valuable learning among us as men. I’m immensely proud of myself for attending, and I owe special gratitude to Caridon Foundation and Palace for Life for extending me the opportunity. This experience not only enriched my perspective on fatherhood but also fostered growth and meaningful connections with my fellow fathers.”
