The World Health Organisation recognises the World Mental Health
Day on 10th October every year.
At Caridon Foundation, more than 80% of our tenants are
struggling with mental health issues, including anxiety,
depression and psychosis. It is well known that any opportunity
to break social isolation and bring people together is good for
our mental well-being. For this reason, CF is delighted to have been invited by Crystal Palace
Foundation for Life to be their mental health team at this year’s Tournament on October 10th in
Bermondsey.
Ten of our players (the newly named – Caridon Foundation Eagles) will be travelling in a minibus to the
tournament to play against other teams affected by mental health. We hope as many of you as
possible will join us on the day to support the CF team and show your support for World Mental Health
day (oh, and in the words of Ebenezer – Bring Home the Trophy for CF!).
Millwall Community Trust are hosting a tournament on World Mental Health Day Thursday 10th of
October from 12 till 5 pm at Millwall Community Trust, Lions Centre, Bolina Road, London SE16 3LD.
