We’re very proud to say that Mashauna Brooks, who joined Caridon Foundation in February as part of Croydon Council apprenticeship programme, has been nominated as a finalist for Inspirational Young Person of the Year at The Croydon Business Excellence Awards.
This year, the Croydon Business Excellence Awards partnered with local not-for-profit organisation, The CNBA Foundation, to create a one-off, standalone category, the Inspirational Young Person of the Year Award.
The Inspirational Young Person of the Year celebrates those outstanding young people in Croydon who work hard to inspire others with their energy and positive attitude.
This award was open to young adults aged between 16 and 21, who are dedicated to their future in business and are using their experiences and knowledge to inspire others. They may have overcome obstacles and barriers and share many qualities; from drive and ambition, confidence and vision, to tenacity and a caring attitude.
From everyone at Caridon Foundation we would like to say a huge thank you to Mashauna who has grown so much since joining us and is a fantastic addition to the team. This award demonstrates just what young people can achieve when they choose to embrace a better future.
The winner of this stand-alone award will be announced at the Croydon Business Excellence Awards Ceremony, and will win a £500 cash prize and The Carl Nathaniel Beatson-Asiedu trophy.
Mashauna, congratulations and we wish you all the best for the night.
